Dear Camp Families:
We extend a warm welcome to our returning camp families for Summer 2024 and to the new camp families joining us for the first time!
It is with great excitement that we announce that we will now be called the GREAT AMERICAN SPORTS CAMP at the newly renamed GREAT AMERICAN CENTER, formerly Highline Arena. This change is in name only and we will still offer the BEST summer camp experience in the area. Every morning you will still see our fabulous camp director, Mrs. Juli Jay, who is entering her 5th year with us. We are also very excited to announce that we have added an assistant camp director from the Sayreville school district, Mr. Anthony Gizzi. For more information on our directors please CLICK HERE.
The Great American Sports Camp (GASC) started twenty-four summers ago. Since then, thousands of children have enrolled, enjoying fun-filled summers, playing familiar games and activities, experiencing new things, and making new friends along the way. Our “State of the Art” climate-controlled facility consists of a multipurpose arena, sand volleyball courts, space for outdoor sports (weather permitting) and an arts & crafts/media room.
We encourage all campers to try new things because we know the value of a challenge. All of us want to grow in big and small ways, and we strive to assist all campers to do so. At GASC, we understand the importance of keeping parents informed and in touch. We keep our parents updated about our fun activities via email, along with posting pictures each day on our social media pages. The pictures alone will show the wonderful day we had.
Throughout the day children will participate in a wide variety of sports and activities which include soccer, flag football, Nerf hockey, volleyball, kickball, basketball, and other age-appropriate games. Our arts & crafts room taps into the creative side of our campers with various projects throughout the summer. Campers also experience great programs with special guests such as Mad Science and The Lizard Guys. This year we are excited to expand our programming to include field trips to places like the bowling alley, Monster Golf and more. We are always striving to offer fun and challenging programs to pique the interest of the group.
